CAM: Generating toolpaths for multi-axis machining (e.g., 3+2 axis), using advanced strategies for better surface finish and material removal rates. This includes programming operations for features on different planes of the workpiece. 

CAD: Creating complex surfaces and solids for the aerospace or automotive industry, such as a full aircraft body or a complete engine. Advanced work also includes design optimization through generative design or reverse engineering complex parts from 3D scans.
